FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who can play in the Sports Fusion Amateur Golf Tour events?

The Sports Fusion Amateur Golf Tour is an amateur tour that presents an opportunity for men, women, juniors and seniors that typically score a 95 or less for 18 holes to compete in professionally managed tournaments.

What is the cost to play in a Sports Fusion Amateur Golf Tour event?

There is no membership fee to play on the tour.  Each event will have a different entry fee.  The course selection, tee times and dates all have a significant effect on the cost of an event.  With these logistics in mind, the tour committee’s goal is to keep entry fees as affordable as possible.  The prices range from $75 - $125.

What types of competitive formats are played on the tour?

This is what separates our amateur tour from the others.  The Sports Fusion Amateur Golf Tour has a single player division as well as a two-person Best-Ball division at every tour event.  You can play in one or both formats!  You choose.  Bring yourself and/or a golf buddy to compete in a fun and friendly atmosphere.  If you enter in both you are eligible to win prizes for both divisions.

Do I need an Official USGA Handicap Card?

No.  You can enter in as many or all of the events without having an official USGA handicap. However, it is advantageous to have an official USGA handicap to increase your chances at winning any designated prizes for the event.  There are prizes awarded for Gross Teams, Gross Singles, Net Teams (Handicapped), Net Singles (Handicapped).

It is recommended by the Sports Fusion Amateur Golf Tour to obtain a USGA Handicap to not only give you more opportunities to win prizes, but also to give you, the golfer, an opportunity to track your progress based on the courses played throughout the tour and practice.

Can I walk?

Yes.  You may walk unless the event course requires a cart.  Cart Fee is separate from any Sports Fusion Amateur Golf Tour entry fee.  The cart fee can be paid in advance on our entry form.  Most often, our tour is likely to receive a discounted price for cart fees if you desire to ride instead of walk.

Can I use a Caddie?

Absolutely!  You may bring a caddie, but the caddie must wear an official Sports Fusion Amateur Golf Tour caddie bib.  There is an additional rental fee of $10.00 for use of a caddie bib.

What can you win?

Sports Fusion Amateur Golf Tour believes that everyone will give their best effort and maintain competitive sports integrity.  For this reason, each event will payout merchandise in the form of B&G Golf Gift Certificates to the top 20% of each field.  In addition, there will be a prize given to a non-top 20% player/team for each field.  In other words, there will be a player and team (non-top 20%) that are randomly drawn after each event and announced “winners” just for entering and competing.  So, anyone can win at any Sports Fusion Amateur Golf Tour event!

How do I sign up for a tour event?

It’s very easy.  Simply fill out an online entry form as a single or two-person best ball team (or both).  Each tour event is limited to the first 100 registered participants.   You will receive a response email stating that you are registered and to check out the website for your tee time for the selected tour event.  If you wish not to sign up online, you may call the Sports Fusion Amateur Golf Tour office at 414-305-1055 to register by phone.

If I register as a single, but would like to play in the Two-Person Best Ball, do I have to compete in the singles division?

No.  We will match you up with a partner to become eligible for the Two-Person Best Ball format.

What is the cancellation policy?

If you register for an event and decide that you can’t make the event, you may make a cancellation if it is eight (8) days prior to the event date.  You may also try and sell your ticket to another avid golfer who can take your place, but he/she must call our office to register their name as a replacement for your canceled spot.
