Fusion Marketing

One of the most rewarding, inexpensive, underused, and effective methods of marketing is to tie in your marketing efforts with the efforts of others (what used to be called “tie-ins”).  This technique which is helping everybody become wealthy is called “fusion marketing.”  Related companies agree to display one another’s information.  This gives each participant more exposure while adding to the content and quality of every site where the information is displayed.  Fusion marketing trades can be simple links to other services, or they can be whole directories of information.

For example:  Ma & Pa Ice Cream Shop says to Mr. Miniature Golf, “I’ll put your company insert in my next mailing if you put mine in your next mailing.”  Or “I’ll put your sign up in my store if you do the same for me.”

Here we have a perfect scene as to how the two business leaders have just expanded their company exposure…and they have done so with reduced marketing costs.  It’s happening all over!!!

Very large businesses do this all the time, but it is happening more frequently among small businesses.  Many organizations that have leads know that organizations, marketing different things, have the same kinds of leads.

The purpose of fusion marketing:  Mutual Profitability.  You must realize that almost everyone in your community is a potential fusion marketing partner, that almost all of them will see the wisdom in your suggestion of a tie-in together.
